本日、常陸太田市パルティホールにおいて、吹奏楽部が第63回茨城県吹奏楽コンクール県北地区大会に出場しました。演奏の直前まで熱心に練習を重ね、本番ではこれまでの練習の成果を十分に発揮して、素晴らしい演奏を会場に響かせました。そして、優秀賞おめでとうございます。2校合同での参加でしたが、みんなで心ひとつに創り上げた丁寧な演奏でした。生徒数の減少で悩む、他校の模範になったと思います。モーリス・ラヴェル作曲の「マ・メール・ロワ」という曲でしたが、素敵でした。

　本日、1学期の終業式が行われました。終業式では、どの学年もしっかりと式に臨み、一人一人振り返る時間がありました。また、夏休み中でもSOSを発信できるよう生徒指導主事によるタブレット端末を使った指導もありました。

本日の2年生の3時間目には、夏休み中の過ごし方を確認しました。
計画的に学習に取り組み、いろいろなことにチャレンジし、将来に向けて自分を磨いてほしいと思います。

   I was impressed_English Presentation Forum Hitachi City
　Four third-year students participated in the English Presentation Forum Hitachi City. At the risk of sounding patronizing, I have to say that they were most impressive.
　We started working on them at the end of June, but due to events such as the Sports Festival, we were not able to spend much time on them.
　I am sure you guys practiced not only after school but also at home. Because your presentations are getting better and better every day in a tangible way.
　Your English teacher always comes to work earlier and leaves later than anyone else. I guess he can't cut corners when he sees his students working so hard. The English teacher and home economics teacher also continue to discuss the English Presentation Forum Hitachi City Competition after school.
　Will they be able to hear me because my voice is too low? Would they be able to present without looking at the manuscript? Would they not be disheartened by other excellent presentations?
　All of my fears were unfounded. It was wonderful. Thank you for the inspiration.

　1学期の清掃強調週間の最終日にあたり、教室のワックスがけを行いました。担当の給食・整備委員に加え、ボランティアで手伝う生徒の姿もあり、自分たちの教室を大切に思う気持ちが伝わってきました。愛校心に溢れた素晴らしい生徒たちです。
